Ms. Holly Zhang, president of UCLEF, delivered the closing remarks at the celebration. She congratulated the students on their conclusion of this Program and presented each with a Certificate of Completion. Ms. Amy Sun, Director of Program Development of UCLEF, conducted a seminar at the closing celebration, going over the timeline of law school applications.

The 2010 Chinese Outstanding Law Students Visiting Program is an eleven-day program held from February 17th to February 27th. It is comprised of three parts. The first part includes visits to well-known law schools on the East Coast. Program participants visited such law schools and universities as Yale Law School, Harvard Law School, Columbia Law School, New York University School of Law, Fordham University School of Law, University of Pennsylvania Law School, Temple University Beasley School of Law, Georgetown Law School and Princeton University. Program participants had meetings with the staff members from the admissions offices of the law schools, faculty members and students of the law schools, audited certain law school classes and visited the law school libraries. Law Institution Visitation is the second part of the program. The third part is other professional events which includes the visitation to the United Nations, Philadelphia (National Constitutional Center, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell) and Washington D.C (White House, Congress Hill, Lincoln Memorial Hall, Jefferson Memorial, and Washington Monument).

This Program is designed to bring greater understanding of the American legal system to aspiring young Chinese law students and would-be lawyers, to facilitate networking and dialogue between the new generations of lawyers of China and America, which will eventually benefit the legal communities as a whole. UCLEF is looking forward to developing a second series of Chinese Visiting Students Program during Spring of 2011.
