The U.S.-China Legal Exchange Foundation (UCLEF),
founded in 2008 and headquartered in New Jersey, is an independent nonprofit
organization dedicated to advancing legal communication and collaboration
between China and the United States. By connecting legal, academic,
governmental, and professional resources across both countries, UCLEF promotes
dialogue, cooperation, and mutual understanding in the legal field.
To support its mission, UCLEF focuses on the following
principal activities:
·
Strengthening the exchange of legal
information and cross-cultural understanding between China and the United
States.
·
Promoting cooperation among Chinese
and American legal scholars, practitioners, and institutions.
·
Initiating and supporting legal
research, education, and professional training.
·
Organizing public discussions, forums,
conferences, and seminars on Chinese and American legal issues.
·
Supporting publications focused on
legal research, education, and comparative law.
·
Providing legal aid and public
interest-oriented programs to communities in both China and the United States.
Since its inception, UCLEF has collaborated with
leading universities, government agencies, and industry associations in the
United States and China to develop training and exchange programs for lawyers,
law students, and business professionals. Through these initiatives, UCLEF has
established itself as a meaningful platform for Sino-U.S. legal exchange,
professional development, and institutional cooperation.
The Foundation is located in Hillsborough, New Jersey,
with convenient access to major transportation routes connecting New York and
Boston to the north, and Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., to the south.
