On September 23, 2010, U.S.-China Legal Exchange Foundation (UCLEF) has successfully held the second U.S.-China Legal Expert Forum (the Forum) in New York City. Mr. Yongqiang Xu, the famous expert on Chinese state-owned enterprise law and the associate director of the All China Lawyers Association's Civil Law Committee, gave his presentation on the Forum. The presentation was focused on Chinese enterprises' "going-out" strategy and the cooperation of U.S. and Chinese lawyers under this trend. It discussed the current economy situation of China, Chinese enterprises' "going-out" strategy, the industry distribution of Chinese enterprises' mergers and acquisitions and the changes of Chinese legal environment following the Chinese enterprises' "going-out" strategy and their oversea direct investments. Mr. Xu further provided detailed case studies as to analyze the practice of Chinese enterprises' externalization, and how lawyers from U.S. and China can cooperate with each other in providing legal service for those enterprises.
